The $50 to $100 service call usually comes off any repair you say yes to. Where you land in a range depends on brand, model year, and pack voltage, and our tech gives you one flat number in the driveway before touching anything.

Winter Haven proper and Lake Ashton, Auburndale, and Lake Alfred sit at the low end of the range. Bartow and Lake Wales, the two farthest towns from Winter Haven, sit toward the top. The fee exists because our tech and a load tester show up at your house; it goes away, in effect, the moment you approve a repair.
That fee buys a real diagnostic rather than a quick look: per-battery voltage and load test, a hydrometer check of specific gravity on flooded packs, a voltage-drop test along the main cables under load, charger output at the plug and the receptacle, and solenoid, throttle, and controller checks if the cart still will not move. Every pack price includes installation, cable and terminal inspection with anti-corrosion coating, a full watering on flooded packs, hold-down torque, a test drive, and haul-away of the old cores. Because recyclers pay for lead cores, we charge nothing to haul them off, and you are not left with 60-pound batteries in the garage.
Every lithium conversion comes with a charger built for lithium, since a lead-acid charging profile cannot charge a LiFePO4 pack correctly. Carts covering two golf courses inside Lake Ashton, or running errands around the lakes of Winter Haven, run year-round with no winter layup, so brake shoes and tires wear on a faster clock than the brochure assumes. Out toward Lake Wales and Haines City, the deep sand of the Lake Wales Ridge is abrasive in a brake drum the same way it is on a golf course bunker. The last row matters more than it looks. Winter Haven’s NOAA normals put roughly 30 inches of rain, close to 58 percent of the year’s 51.95, into June through September, and a garage that stays damp for a third of the year oxidizes every cable lug and charge-port pin in it. F.S. 316.212(6) requires efficient brakes, reliable steering, safe tires, a rearview mirror, and red reflectorized warning devices front and rear on any designated cart street, and night operation is allowed only where the local government permits it and only with headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and a windshield. Lights do not turn a cart into a car: no shop can give it a title or a VIN, so it stays a golf cart in the eyes of the law. Why two quotes in the same range differ
- Pack voltage and battery brand. Premium Trojan 8-volts in a 48V cart cost more than budget 6-volts in a 36V cart, and no other factor moves our prices as much.
- Cart type. LSVs from ICON and Evolution use different controllers, onboard chargers, and lithium battery-management systems than a 15-year-old Club Car DS. Parts cost more and diagnostics take longer.
- Lifted and modified carts. Oversized tires, custom wheels, or an aftermarket controller raise the parts bill and can add labor.
- Corrosion. A cart that has lived near one of Winter Haven’s lakes for years without terminal care often needs cables replaced alongside the batteries. Ask to see the cable before you approve replacing it.
- Distance. How far we drive shows up in the trip fee only. Repair prices are the same in Lake Wales as in downtown Winter Haven.
What we do not price
There are two exceptions. Factory warranty work for any manufacturer is out, because we are an independent service with no authorization from Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, or Evolution. Warranty claims belong with your selling dealer. And we will not quote a repair we would not recommend: on an old cart with a tired frame, a failing controller, and a dead pack, the honest number is sometimes “put the money toward a newer cart,” which beats a $2,000 ticket.
